Outstanding new build house in Droxford

Hampshire

SurveyCloud has completed this stunning black stained clad, new build dwelling in a conservation area and national park in Hampshire. We initially prepared accurate existing drawings of site, boundaries and buildings. Outline architectural designs kick started the creative process and quality scheme designs developed.

Rather than create a pastiche of the village houses, the design took architectural inspiration from the local barns. The simple rectangular structure with a pitched roof and gable ends are clad in black stained larch horizontal timber which is surprisingly recessive, allowing the building to blend with the backdrop. The second floor is contained within the steep pitched roof, which helps to keep the eaves and ridge levels low. Close attention has been given to the detailing to provide a more modern feel. Traditional materials are mixed with contemporary detailing giving the building integrity.

We provided digital drawings and documentation required for the planning application and acted as agents to correspond with planning officers. We also completed the building regs package & tendering phases and saw the project through to final completion. Survey, design & build from conception to completion.
